Just 10 weeks ago, we took over Cable in London for the 10 Year Anniversary event of Breakspoll – the International Breakbeat Awards – where the creme de la creme won the hottest awards and took home the prizes.

But! It’s not all about the Winners! We’ve realised over the years its much more than that, and so this year, we’re breaking the rules and releasing run downs of some of the most hotly contended awards!

    I am looking for nice outdoor festivals this summer or next, I don’t care.
    It should be the sea in the tropical part of europe, north africa or middle east.

    Love love the Stantons.. they should have been number 1.  They have a new breaks oriented album and doing a world tour, really bringing it to the fans at a time where breaks was thought to be taken over by electro and dubstep.. EEWW!!

    When In doubt? Set a pair of {tables} up and lets do this old school! You bring your best DJ’s. We will bring ours. We can do it the right way. Im sure then the Poll would be more accurate in this fashion. Either way? Big ups Breakspoll. Nobody else is giving the Breaks a chance to survive. Hats off to you and much respect from TLA! *Note* The real question is? Are Controllers and Computer programs legal for a DJ Comp. This might add a different factor into this if this is a real comp or not. It might be a good Idea at some point to break Sub genres down Such as Nuschool, Electro, progressive ect. to insure that ALL with in breaks has a chance for a vote. You guys are doing a great job and don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise! Hats off to all the nominations and people that work their tails off all year. Its tough to be dedicated weekly on a legit radio station to show that you love your art and music. { Bruise Your Body Breaks just hit the 5 year mark with NEVER missing a show } This is where the Nominations come from { Radio stations only }. I dont think people are to clear on how that works. You can be a GREAT or FANTASTIC DJ, but if you are not putting in the real work on a station? It does nothing for this vote. Thanks to all that stays true to the art of pitch control. DJ does mean Disk Jockey incase most have forgot. I have had a great time Being involved and Involving our artists that deserve to be recognized. All of them should be #1 for just being alive.  Thank you again for the big respect from all sides. Boom booms! :}
